I'm a huge Bearpaw fan. These Gail boots are my favorite pair. I ordered them when they went on sale, and I couldn't be more satisfied with the purchase. The shearling lining is thick and comfortable--feels like my feet are swaddled in pillows! They do run small due to the lining. I'm normally a size 6, occasionally a 6 1/2, but a size 7 in these fits like a glove. The cloth opening isn't as snug as I thought it would be, but it is still sufficient. I have fairly small calves, so I think the boots would accomodate someone with average to thick calves just fine.

I was pleasantly surprised how well the boots fit. I had read reviews to buy a size larger but I didn't. I am a normalsize 9 and that is what I purchased and the boots fit like a glove, not to big not to small, I love them. You do notneed room for socks because these boots are designed to wear without them. The wool is comfortable and keeps my feet atan optimum temperature in which they are designed to do. (very warm) I own a pair of the Emu's which I love but for the price and fitI prefer the Bearpaws. Comfortable and well made.

i love these boots, got them in brown. they are superrr comfortable, i would even go as far as saying i like them more than my uggs and WAY cheaper!!!
